INTERPRETED: FAN OPINIONS

"Colorblind is about the one special moment when you know that you are totally in love with that one person, you've never felt more sure of anything in your whole life, except what you feel for that person you love at that priceless moment."

"When you're in the dark making love to someone, you are colorblind. You've lost an important part of your sight, but at the same time, you've gained so much more. Time slows, and you are able to see the little poetic details and notice things you haven't before. All the distraction is gone, and you can see the absolute truth: you are willing to let yourself go completely for this person. I think that Color Blind is about that moment, and feeling all the amazing and turbulant emotions that the act draws out."

"Colorblind, and to be honest, it is the only one I have ever heard. I think it is the most beautiful song ever written, because it is the only true song that makes me cry when I listen to it. When I am hurting, and the pain in my heart can't exceed the emotions nor bring out any tears and I am going crazy on the inside and out, I listen to Colorblind so that I can be refreshed. So that I can cry and feel alive again. Everytime that lovely deep, low, melody starts off the song my eyes wander and it is like my entire soul tunes in with the music and the lyrics pose a ripple on my heart and that is how I feel. It is a sad song, but in most cases, it is the only song that can make me calm - keep me sane and nourished from the anguish in which I do not wish to seek no longer. I used to be oblivious to the rest of the world, but after hearing this song, I understand the beauty of heartbreak and the power of a shattered heart and the loneliness in which a person could stand. This song helped me reach the epitome of my center and made me realize how beautiful I really am. That freedom is something very precious, and so is free will. That love has so many flaws and yet, we live on, we falter, but we keep going - to love again, to fall again - we survive. I am ready. I am fine. I am fine. "

"This song is about being brought into the world for the first time, a birth. Everyone is born colorblind at birth. I am covered in skin. Sounds like a baby, right? Coffee black and egg white. The child cannot see color. Its about new possibility. The child is saying I am ready, to come into the world, as a metaphor for any new step being taken, usually a beautiful moment."
